晴れ間に玉切り
台風、秋の長雨が続き薪割り準備が出来なかったが、ようやく秋晴れが続き、庭に転がしてある栗・桜の丸太の玉切りをした。先日購入したチェーンソー用のガソリンを始めて使った。いつも利用しているガソリンスタンドに混合ガソリン用のポリタンクを持っていったところ、ガソリンだけ欲しかったのにチェンソー用のオイルまで入れられてしまった。「チェーンソー用の...」と言った時に、混合比率を聞いてきたのでおかしいと思ったのだが、軽井沢ではチェーンソーを使っている人も多いので、スタンドの普通のサービスなのかもしれない。次回からは、「ガソリンだけ入れてください」というようにしよう。
出勤日だったが、晴れた日を逃したくなかったので昼休みに家に帰って玉切りした。35cm程度の栗の丸太2本と、10cm～15cmの細身の丸太を5本程度カット。細い丸太はそのまま薪小屋の薪棚に置いた。まだまだ丸太のままなので、雪が降る前に全部割らないと。
