甲府幕岩（No.3）

クライミング復活第二段は、昨年の秋以来になる甲府幕岩にぱないさんと二人で行った。クリスタルラインからの分岐の広場で待ち合わせて岩場に向かうと、駐車場でZOOのメンバーと偶然会った。小川山ではよく知り合いに会うけど、こんなところで知り合いに会うとはちょっと意外でうれしい偶然。挨拶もそこそこに岩場に向かう。今日は比較的涼しくて、岩も乾いていてコンディションは悪くない。まずはHIVE(5.10a)にアップで取り付いてみる。長く、ホールドも手ごろで楽しいルート。体のキレも悪くなく、一応問題なくオンサイト。続けてダダ(5.10b)に取り付いてみる。上部の核心はちょっと癖があり、10b/cでもいいんじゃないかと思った。こちらもオンサイトできた。

思ったよりも調子がいいので、サイコモーター(5.11a/b)に取り付いてみる。出だしのボルダームーブの解決にすべてがかかっているが、1便目の3回目位のトライで右手のホールドを取ることができ、テイクオフすることが出来た。しかし、上部のカチを拾っていく部分で、バランスを崩してテンション。ナイスなアンダーホールドが見つけられず、惜しいところでレッドポイントを逃す。ヌンチャクを掛けたままにしてロワーダウンし、ぱないさんのビレイをした後再びトライするも、今度はテイクオフすら出来ない。やればやるだけ指の皮が消耗して来るので、今回はあきらめてぱないさんに回収便を出してもらう。宿題になってしまい残念。

昨日も殆ど寝てないので、しばし昼寝の後、ジューンブライド(5.11b)に取り付く。アプローチの終了点からボルト2本程度は問題ないが、20cm程度のスタンスから急にバランスが悪くなり、ホールドは比較的あるものの、掛かりが甘いホールドで体が保持できずにフォール。何度か行きつ戻りつするも、結局解決できずにぱないさんに変わってもらう。ぱないさんも同じところで躓き、終了点までつなげずにロワーダウンしてきた。雲行きが怪しくなってきたので、回収便にするつもりで再度取り付く。しかし、ヨレも大きく、結局同じところでテンション。仕方がないのでヌンチャクをつかんで強引に終了点まで這い上がって行って回収してきた。これまた宿題。

雨が降りそうで降らなかったので、ぱないさんがピッコロ(5.10d)に取り付くのをビレイする。このルートは見た目以上に核心部前後がバランシーで、終了点までのムーブがトリッキーらしく、ぱないさんも苦労している。続けて登りたくなったのでヌンチャクを残してもらう。が、ぱないさんが降りた直後からいきなり本降りになってしまった。しばし雨待ちをするが、ぜんぜんやむ気配がなく、他のパーティはどんどん帰ってしまった。小降りになってきたタイミングで気合で登り始め、多少湿り気が出てきたホールドを強引に押さえ込んで登る。見ていた以上に細かく、結構登りづらくて泣いた。核心のムーブもなんとなく強引なステミング？って思えた程度で解決までは至らず、強引に終了点にクリップして回収した。結局これも宿題。

なんか宿題だらけになってしまったが、思ったよりも夏の幕岩は快適で、また近いうちに来たいと思う。帰り際、奥さんから電話が入り、今日は軽井沢に帰れるとのことで八ヶ岳倶楽部にまでピックアップに行く。
